The first mares have scanned in foal to the National Stud's champion sprinter Bradsell.

Among their number is Final Rendezvous, a half-sister to Pinnacle Stakes and Nottinghamshire Oaks winner La Lune, as well as Lady Eleanor, a winning daughter of multiple stakes winner Firenze.

Bradsell was a nine-length winner on his two-year-old bow at York and followed up with victory in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. He returned the following year to defeat Highfield Princess in the King's Stand Stakes and was also third in the Nunthorpe.

The son of Tasleet returned at four for Archie Watson and Victorious Racing to win the Nunthorpe and Flying Five Stakes, in addition to his French Listed win, while he was also second in the Abbaye at Longchamp.

The highly popular sprinter was bred by Deborah O'Brien out of the stakes-winning Archipenko mare Russian Punch.

The National Stud's general manager Joe Bradley said: "Bradsell is being strongly supported in his first season, with over 120 mares booked in to date. He has settled into stud life beautifully and is a really exciting addition to our roster."

Bradsell is standing his debut season for £10,000.
