Tom Peacock talks to Pat Flynn, the renowned trainer of Montelado and French Ballerina, about his latest sales triumph

Once in a while Pat Flynn’s intuition takes over when looking at a horse and he becomes a man obsessed.
It happened back in 2011 when he bought Designs On Rome, the gelding who became Hong Kong’s champion and horse of the year, for the very reasonable sum of €10,500 at the Goffs Orby Sale.
Back in Kildare Paddocks a decade later, those spidey senses began to tingle again as he caught sight of Windbeneathmywings at the Autumn Yearling Sale.
