A Mehmas half-sister to 1,000 Guineas heroine Cachet headlines a stellar catalogue for the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale next month.

With 206 lots on offer, the catalogue features entries by many leading sires including Havana Grey, Wootton Bassett, Blue Point, Dark Angel, Invincible Spirit, Kodiac, New Bay, No Nay Never, Showcasing and Too Darn Hot.

One of 22 lots by Tally-Ho Stud's record-breaking sire Mehmas, the Hyde Park Stud-consigned half-sibling to Cachet (lot 158) is joined by Bansha House Stables' half-brother to Norfolk Stakes winner The Lir Jet (150), Tally-Ho's half-brother to Group 3 winner Markaz Paname (2) and Kilminfoyle House Stud's half-sister to Railway Stakes third Arctician (29).

Havana Grey will be represented by progeny out of stakes-winning mares Anadolu (23), Blizzard (39) and the Listed-placed Ravis Rhapsody (173), while No Nay Never has four entries including a filly out of a half-sister to Lillie Langtry (91) and a colt out of the high-class Siyouni mare Spectre (192).

The sale will also offer two-year-olds by first-season and young sires, including A’Ali, Hello Youmzain, Lucky Vega, Mohaather, Nando Parrado, Sergei Prokofiev, Sioux Nation, Space Blues, St Mark's Basilica, Starman and Supremacy.

The sale's Royal Ascot winning streak stands at ten in the last nine years, including A’Ali, Perfect Power and Bradsell, while last year Leovanni continued the run with victory in the Queen Mary Stakes.

Other Group-winning graduates last year include Flying Childers Stakes winner Aesterius, Mill Reef Stakes victor Powerful Glory and Richmond Stakes scorer Black Forza.

Goffs UK managing director Tim Kent said: "This sale is all about Royal Ascot so it’s on everyone’s minds, from vendors selecting horses to send, to buyers raising their hand in the ring.

"The sale’s royal record really is something special, and its ability to continue to produce winners at one of the world’s most prestigious race meetings has driven it to new heights. Top hats off to our vendors who have supported this sale and helped create this enviable record which has left all other breeze-up sales chasing our tails!

"This sale is also about winners. Our two-year-olds had a very good year last year, headlined by the five individual Group winners. Furthermore, of the first 50 juvenile winners offered across all European breeze-up sales last year, Doncaster produced over 50 per cent of them. Given the Donny breeze lays claim to just over 20 per cent of the total breezers offered last year, it graphically illustrates that if you are looking for precocious, quality horses that win, this is the sale in which to buy them."

He added: "This year we made the conscious decision to reduce the number catalogued, coming down from 234 to 206 to allow us to further focus on quality. Given demand for places was as high as it’s ever been, it proved a difficult task, but we feel we have achieved a good balance.

"We have already begun canvassing buyers, having travelled to Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and had a very good response. We will continue our visits throughout the UK and Europe in the coming weeks and we look forward to welcoming an international audience to Doncaster in April."

The breeze will take place at Doncaster racecourse from 8.30am on Wednesday, April 23, while the sale will be held the following day from 10am.
